The Return of ExperimentsAtSchool
ExperimentsAtSchool, Mon, 14 Mar 2005 13:00:00 +0100: After a review of previous and current use of the ExperimentsAtSchool site it has been redesigned to include aspects of the original site that were most used by schools. There is a new emphasis on interactive on-line experiments and on experiments which are fun and designed to engage the learner, enhancing the learning experience. The site was re-launched to coincide with National Science Week 2005 in March.

Over 112,000 pupils participated and there has been an explosion of data and results table on their website which links from either our portal or directly from www.abs.gov.au Have a look - you could find just the resource or data you need!

1 million records in International Database
International CensusAtSchool, Thu, 12 Jan 2006 10:35:28 +0100: There are now 1 million lines of data in the International Database, following the addition of the New Zealand Phase 2 data.
This means that anyone accessing the International Database can download samples drawn from a total of 1 million records from 12 censuses across 5 countries.
New Data Handling Mathematics Resources Booklet Available

We have added target National Curriculum levels, topics covered by the resource and selected answers as well. It contains 27 resources, many of them with data from CensusAtSchool included. New Flash Enabled version of CensusAtSchool launched
CensusAtSchool UK, Mon, 10 Oct 2005 13:00:00 +0100: New this year, a Flash-enabled version of the Phase 6 Questionnaire aims to engage younger learners with the CensusAtSchool project. The Flash-enabled Questionnaire is bright, colourful and simple for younger children to fill in.

A brand new innovative approach to data handling, aiming to develop pupil's thinking skills. International Database website launched
International CensusAtSchool, Mon, 19 Sep 2005 13:00:00 +0100: The CensusAtSchool International Database has been given a new home on the new International CensusAtSchool Project Website. Rebranded to reflect the international focus of the project, and available in both English and French, the website provides access to data from CensusAtSchool in the U.K., Canada, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. There is also information for countries wishing to become part of the CensusAtSchool family of projects.
Phase 6 Launches!

Safety in the Sun with the Sunshine Survey

Focusing on Sun Awareness, the survey enables students to investigate the precautions taken when going out on sunny days.
IssuesAtSchool pilot project hailed as Outstanding Success
